In the same way, people can umagine that if some invisible hand is keeping the earth in check, then if humans would really end up wiping out the earth (doomsday hypothesis, another invisible hand idea), then they must logically be eliminated by some element before they can do so. The invisible hand of the continuous value theorem adjusts and keeps it true. This is true even if you take a flame torch and ice maker around chasing those points and trying to make it untrue. Mathematics and complicated systems like life can have beatifully simple and powerful results that almost act like an invisible hand of fate- even when it is impossible for the limited human brain to understand why or how.įor example, at any time, there will always be two points precisely opposite each other in the equator at exactly the same temperature. I think people love concepts like this because we love the idea of faith and destiny but we know too much to believe in them. This a separate overarching concept to animal evolution- the Earth itself contains billions of subsystems that just work out.

I really love a lot of the films he is in including I ROBOT, I AM LEGEND, and HANCOCK which is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I hear he was good in the remake of THE KARATE KID, but I have yet to check that out in full just yet. While I am not convinced Jaden has any real talent just yet, I am willing to give the little guy a shot. I know a lot of people who loathe the Fresh Prince and his son.

The second reason this movie will be hated by most is that it stars Will Smith and his son Jaden. There is no way every film Shyamalan takes on will be perfect, but at least you know they will be different. Sure THE VILLAGE, THE HAPPENING, and THE LAST AIRBENDER kind of sucked, but at least he took some chances with the story telling. I’m sorry, but I can’t forget how awesome THE SIXTH SENSE, UNBREAKABLE, and SIGNS actually are. He seemingly has no middle ground with audiences. People love to hate on this guy so hard because he has taken a lot of risks with his career and they have either come out on top or the very bottom. The first reason this is going to happen is because it’s being directed by M. Years from now people are going to say that this movie sucked even though they never actually saw it. They are going to watch this trailer, see who is involved, and decide that it is not a good movie. There are a lot of people out there that are just not going to give AFTER EARTH a chance.
